Welcome NDP! Bienvenue NPD!

2:33: "On January 23, New Democrats will, it seems, be joining with Canadians at prorogation protests around the country -- and on January 25th, they'll be on the Hill, "doing the jobs they were elected to do." Uh, does that mean holding workshops? Because if so, they might want to check with the Liberals to try to avoid conflicting schedules. Wait, what am I thinking? That's probably the whole idea. Oh, what's a liveblogger to do?"

Je m'en réjouis. Seriously. Well done. One must never let one's ego get in the way of the bigger picture. And well done to Dippers who pressured NDP leadership to change their minds. Now this is more like it. El pueblo unido jamás será vencido!

I'm not convinced this is a good thing. Jack and the Dippers should stay away on Jan. 23.

Not just the Dips, but all parties. Leave this up to the citizens who have decided enough is enough.

Showing up at the protest/rally will only delegitimize the message, in my opinion.

I expect that Jack doesn't take too many dirtections from Lib bloggers. Jack won the news day however and as we head down the road, we both LPCers and NDPers need tyo defeat Harper.

I disagree with C & RB on two points. First, all citizens should stand up for democracy on 23rd. It would be bizarre to want to bar the most politically involved Canadians from making their voices heard. Second, if you check my succeeding post, you'll see I disagree re. news day. But I completely, absolutely, 100% agree all democrats must band together to defend democracy.
