It's arguable that it's been nearly 400 days since he became illegitimate by proroguing in December 2008 to avoid a confidence vote. Of course old Iffy gave in to him then. Hopefully some real opposition steps up and presents a reason why they will be a better government for Canada (beyond attack ads and petty bickering).

Eugene, thank you for stopping by and commenting at Challenging the Commonplace. I've a question concerning the site you recommended. Do you know who is behind it? - i.e, who is behind electionightincanada.com? A whois lookup delivers the following for the technical and administrative contact:

    Bento Box Media Inc.
    Dave Duprey
    800 555 West Hastings

If this is someone working on behalf of the LPC, then as a non-partisan and someone in favour of preserving the non-partisan nature of CAPP, I don't want to include a link to it. If this is an independent, then no problem.

Ian, arguable, but since constitutional arbiter & guarantor, GG, decided OK last time, as much as I might have disagreed, legitimate. This time, outright defiance of Parliament, and no outside arbiter to give cover. Prorogation is, under normal circumstances, legitimate. Refusing Order of Parliament is not. Hence need to get people focussed on reall issue that will become ever clearer after rallies and as Parliament's new session, March 3rd, begins. Education is crucial, if we want to get Canadians to understand issue. Just because parliament resumes doesn't mean all is OK - quite the opposite: refusing Order of sitting parliament is end of legitimacy. Huge huge conflict. Education necessary.
